POSTNATAL DOULA SERVICES

Postnatal doulas usually start working with a family within the first few months after birth, but some doulas also work with families with older babies. Sometimes postnatal doulas are antenatally reserved, sometimes just when a family finds they are struggling or need more support. The amount of time a postnatal doula spends with a family varies greatly, from the first 6-8 weeks to years!

Postnatal doulas provide emotional, practical and informative support as well as supporting postpartum clients.

One of the biggest benefits of having a postnatal doula is that they are there like family to support them. This includes taking care of the baby while the mother (and partner) sleep, helping the older siblings, helping them get ready for school, preparing snacks...helping parents sleep more overnight.... Whatever it takes to help a family relax and have a positive life experience with a baby.

If you choose to breastfeed, a doula can support you with that, and research shows that having a doula postnatal means you are more likely to continue breastfeeding successfully.

Postnatal doulas also provide emotional support for mothers and couples. These days, parents may feel overwhelmed by the different advice offered. The postnatal doula gives new parents the opportunity to talk things over and just chat. Talking about childbirth is a normal part of it, but postpartum doulas can also be there to support parents through worries about siblings, feeding, going back to work, feeding, sleeping - and what grandma says she's doing in her day.

Fee: Support is provided to the family in the postpartum period with visits of 8 hours, 5 days a week. Baby massage and baby bah is done every other day. I rest the mother and observe and support her breastfeeding. I contribute to daily tasks during the day. It mentions my job description in more detail in the contract.If you want to receive this service on a weekly basis, 800 pounds per week (8 hours a day, 5 days a week).                        If we agree monthly, it will be charged at 600 pounds per week.
